Electrical Services

Breakers tripping, or a panel that predates half your appliances? On Point Construction handles residential and commercial electrical with permits and inspections managed for you.

Why Choose On Point Construction for Your Electrical Work

A lot of Miami homes are running modern loads through service equipment that was sized for a very different household. Add a wall oven, a second air conditioner, and a car charger to a panel from another era and the problem is not going to solve itself. We assess the actual service capacity before recommending anything.

Outstanding Support

One point of contact who explains what your panel can carry, what it cannot, and what has to change before you add the load you are planning.

Homeowner-Friendly Focus

Power interruptions scheduled around your day, walls opened neatly and patched, and circuits labeled clearly so the panel makes sense to the next person who opens it.

Transparent Pricing

Line-item estimates covering permit, materials, and wall repair, so the number you approve is the number you pay.

Core Electrical Systems We Work On

Service, distribution, and branch circuits are three layers of the same system, and a problem in one shows up as a symptom in another.

Service & Panel Upgrades

Replacement of undersized or obsolete panels, including known-problem equipment that insurers increasingly decline to cover, with service sized to real load.

Rewiring & Circuit Additions

Replacement of deteriorated or aluminum branch wiring, plus dedicated circuits for the appliances that should never have shared one in the first place.

Lighting & Device Installation

Fixture layouts, switching, and outlet placement planned around how you actually use the room rather than where the wire happened to be.

Our electricians in Miami are the right choice for your project.

Safety Standards & Compliance You Can Count On

Electrical is the trade where cutting corners has the most immediate consequences. It is permitted and inspected work, and unpermitted electrical is a genuine liability at insurance renewal and resale.

01.

Permit Acquisition Support

We pull the electrical permit with the correct municipality for service changes, panel replacements, and new circuits, and manage it through to final.
02.

Scheduled Inspections & Documentation

Rough-in inspection scheduled before concealment and final inspection after devices are set, with records retained for your file.
03.

Industry Best Practices for On‑Site Safety

Verified de-energization and lockout before work begins, safe handling of older wiring, and containment when opening walls in occupied spaces.
04.

Compliance Tracking at Every Stage

GFCI and AFCI protection, bonding and grounding, box fill, and conductor sizing verified against code before concealment, since these are exactly what inspectors look for.

ready for what is next

Energy‑Efficient & Renewable‑Ready Options

Electrical work is where efficiency and future capacity get designed in, and it is far cheaper to plan for both now than to revisit the panel later.

Solar‑Ready Panel Capacity

Service and panel configured with the space and capacity a future solar interconnection will require, so adding panels later is not a second upgrade.

EV Charging Circuits

Dedicated Level 2 circuits sized and placed correctly, with an honest assessment of whether your existing service can carry one.

LED Lighting & Controls

Efficient fixture layouts with dimming and occupancy control, which cut consumption while improving how the space actually looks and feels.

Load Management & Monitoring

Panel-level monitoring and load management so you can see where consumption is going instead of guessing from the monthly bill.
how we work

Our Commitment to Work Done Right the First Time

You get photo documentation before walls close, a clearly labeled panel directory, and every circuit tested rather than assumed. Job sites are cleaned daily and power is restored before we leave whenever the scope allows.

    FAQ

    Electrical FAQ's

Frequent breaker trips, a panel with no spare spaces, lights dimming when large appliances start, or plans to add an EV charger, a second AC, or a major kitchen appliance. Certain older panel brands are also known problems and some insurers now require replacement. We assess capacity and tell you plainly where you stand.

Yes. We pull the electrical permit with the correct building department, schedule the rough-in inspection before anything is covered, and handle final inspection after devices are set.

Usually one to two days for the work itself, though it also requires coordination with the utility for the service disconnect and reconnect, which can extend the calendar. Power is typically out for several hours on the day of the changeover, and we schedule that with you in advance.

Sometimes, and sometimes not. It depends on your existing service size and what else is already on it. A load calculation answers it definitively. If capacity is short, options range from load management devices to a full service upgrade, and we will lay out the cost difference before you commit.

Aluminum branch circuit wiring from a certain era is a known fire risk at connections, and many insurers ask about it. It does not always require full replacement, since approved connection remediation is sometimes acceptable, but it does require attention from someone who knows the accepted methods.

Either the circuit is genuinely overloaded, there is a fault somewhere on it, or the breaker itself has failed. Repeatedly resetting it treats the symptom and ignores what the breaker is telling you. We trace the circuit and find the actual cause rather than swapping the breaker and calling it done.

Yes. We handle the transfer switch, the dedicated circuits, and the permitting for standby generators and battery systems. Given hurricane season, we will also walk you through which circuits genuinely need to be on backup versus which just feel like they should be.

Whole-house surge protection at the panel is inexpensive relative to what a single lightning event can cost in electronics and appliances, and South Florida gets more lightning than almost anywhere in the country. It is one of the easier upgrades to justify.
