Painting Services

Paint failing before its time? On Point Construction preps properly and uses coatings rated for South Florida sun, humidity, and salt air, so the finish lasts.

Why Choose On Point Construction for Your Painting Project

Most paint failures in Miami are not paint failures at all. They are prep failures. Chalking stucco that was never washed, hairline cracks that were painted over instead of filled, and moisture trapped behind a coating that could not breathe. We spend the time on surface preparation that determines whether your finish lasts two years or eight.

Outstanding Support

One point of contact, a clear scope of exactly which surfaces are included, and sample areas approved before we roll the whole house.

Homeowner-Friendly Focus

Furniture protected, floors covered, and work scheduled room by room so your home stays usable throughout.

Transparent Pricing

Estimates that state the prep work, the number of coats, and the specific product line, so you can compare bids on the same terms.

What Proper Preparation Actually Involves

Prep is the majority of the labor on any painting job worth paying for. Here is what we do before the first finish coat.

Untitled design 1

Cleaning & Pressure Washing

Exterior surfaces washed to remove chalking, mildew, and salt residue, then allowed to dry fully, because coating over a damp wall guarantees failure.

Crack Repair & Patching

Stucco cracks opened, filled, and textured to match rather than bridged with paint, which only hides the crack until the next season.

Priming & Sealing

Bare, patched, and stained surfaces spot-primed with the correct primer for the substrate, so the finish coat bonds and the color stays uniform.

Our painting contractors in Miami are the right choice for your project.

how we work

Our Commitment to a Finish That Lasts

You get a written scope stating which surfaces, how many coats, and which product. Sites are cleaned daily, and we walk the job with you at the end with good light to catch anything before the crew leaves rather than after.

coatings that last

Low‑VOC & Long‑Life Coating Options

The greenest coating is the one that does not need reapplying in three years, and the healthiest is the one you can live with the day it goes on.

Low‑VOC & Zero‑VOC Products

Interior coatings with minimal off-gassing, so bedrooms and living areas are usable quickly without lingering solvent odor.

Reflective Exterior Finishes

Lighter, solar-reflective exterior colors and elastomeric options that reduce heat absorption into the wall assembly and lower cooling load.

Moisture‑Tolerant Systems

Breathable coatings over stucco and masonry that allow trapped moisture to escape instead of blistering the finish from behind.

Durability Over Recoating

Premium product lines with real service life in a coastal climate, because repainting early costs more in labor than the paint ever saved.
safe and compliant

Safety Standards & Compliance You Can Count On

Painting looks low-risk until you are on a lift over a driveway or sanding a surface in a home built before 1978. We handle both correctly.

01.

Surface Assessment & Testing

Older properties are assessed for lead-containing coatings before any sanding begins, and handled under the appropriate containment practices when found.
02.

Scheduled Inspections & Documentation

Prep, primer, and each finish coat documented with photos, so what is underneath the final coat is a matter of record rather than trust.
03.

Industry Best Practices for On‑Site Safety

Proper fall protection on elevated work, secured ladders and lifts, and controlled overspray so neighboring properties and vehicles stay clean.
04.

Compliance Tracking at Every Stage

Product data sheets followed for recoat windows, film thickness, and temperature and humidity limits, which in Miami is the difference between a warranty that holds and one that does not.

    FAQ

    Painting FAQ's

A typical interior repaint runs 3 to 7 days depending on room count and how much patching is needed. A full exterior on a single-family home usually takes 5 to 12 days, with washing and dry time built into the schedule. Humidity and afternoon rain in summer can extend exterior work, and we plan for it rather than rushing recoat windows.

With proper preparation and quality product, expect roughly 5 to 8 years on an exterior and 7 to 10 on an interior. Sun-facing and coastal-facing elevations weather faster than shaded ones. Poor prep can cut those numbers in half regardless of what you paid for the paint.

Usually yes. We work room by room, protect furniture and floors, and use low-VOC products so spaces are usable again quickly. For whole-house work with heavy sanding, some homeowners prefer to be out for a few days, and we can sequence around whichever you choose.

It depends on square footage, surface condition, ceiling height, and how much repair the substrate needs. A wall in good condition and a wall with widespread stucco cracking are very different jobs at the same square footage. We walk the property and give you a written estimate that states the prep scope.

Yes, and on most Miami exteriors it is necessary. Hairline cracking is normal in stucco, but painting over it without opening and filling it means the crack reappears through the new coating within a season. Repair scope is priced separately so you can see what it costs.

Yes. Cabinet refinishing requires degreasing, sanding, and a coating built for the abuse a kitchen delivers, which is a different process from wall painting. We will tell you honestly when a cabinet is a good refinishing candidate and when replacing the doors is the better spend.

The surface needs to be genuinely dry, which in Miami humidity usually means 24 to 48 hours depending on the substrate and the weather. Stucco holds moisture longer than wood siding. Painting early is one of the most common causes of premature peeling, so we do not rush it.
